Our Story

So. Long story short, God is good.

We met on August 17, 2021, at the Georgia Tech BCM. Just two nerds among 100 others. A month into the semester, however, we were already good friends. By the end of the semester, after countless hours of ping-pong, dorkball, pool, ultimate frisbee, and discussing theology, we were talking every day and hanging out every free weekend over the break.

February 26, 2022, we went on our first date (see Figure 1) and got hot chocolate at Rev Coffee.

A month later he said “I love you” while stargazing on our favorite dock, and on May 11, 2022, he asked me to be his girlfriend.

The next two and a half years were a whirlwind as we grew our friendship through more ping-pong, bible studies, movies, and ultimate frisbee. There were ups and downs – a lot of good days, and a few bad ones; several tough conversations, but mostly happy ones. Throughout the journey, however, God has proved to be so faithful in growing us both closer to him, and to each other. He has surrounded us with family and friends who have supported, encouraged, and loved us.

Looking back, we can see the beauty of His sovereignty in placing us in each other’s lives, and now, by His grace, we get to enter this next chapter – and every chapter to come – hand-in-hand.

Turn left after you enter the gate and follow the gravel road past the white house on your left. After a few hundred feet you will get to a gravel parking lot in front of the barn. Feel free to park anywhere, but please be mindful of the limited space so all guests can park easily.
